We are approximately 9.5 scenic miles from
Homer on East End Rd. Once you reach Fritz Creek
General Store and Homestead Restaurant, we are 1.5 miles
further on the left. There will be a white mailbox
and a sign that says Fire and Ice Lodging on the left.
Turn at the sign and come up the driveway.

 We are Bob Burns and
Judi Nester and lived aboard the
s/y
Long Passages
for the past 18 years. In 1992
we left Annapolis, Maryland for a 3
year cruise around the world - a
'voyage of discovery' that took 14
years and allowed us to visit many
incredibly interesting and exotic
places. We were married in New
Zealand and that became our adopted
home for 4 years.
In November of 2006 we completed our
world cruise, sold our beloved yacht
and moved into our "Land Passages"
RV. We then traveled for 8
months across the US, sightseeing
and looking for a permanent place to
"drop the anchor." When we
made it to Homer, we knew we had
found a true paradise.
Born in the USA, we are also New Zealanders but
consider ourselves citizens of the world - we have developed empathy
with the people of the many lands we have visited and the friends we
have made along the way. We returned from our world cruise
completely changed both physically and in our philosophy.
