Homer's breathtaking scenery --where the Kenai Mountains and stunning glaciers meet the sea at Kachemak Bay -- spectacular sunsets and and the mild coastal climate have drawn a surprisingly vibrant and diverse populace. In late July, the landscape is set ablaze with a carpet of fireweed flowers.

    Comfort & Quality

  Fire & Ice Lodging is a modern completely remodeled, self contained, self-catering, non-smoking, tastefully furnished guest apartment suite and is part of a modern property offering comfortable accommodation with separate entrance, bedroom, bathroom and a full kitchen. Unlike B & Bs you are able to eat what you want when you want and save on dining out costs and unlike hotels or guest houses, you don't have to get dressed to have your breakfast. The kitchen is partially stocked with almost everything you need.  Just add some fresh foods and you're set.

Ideally situated - just a 20 minute scenic drive east of downtown Homer and the Homer Spit up on a lovely rise giving spectacular panoramic views over Kachemak Bay and the glaciers and mountains beyond.

  Excellent standard throughout. We have carefully equipped the apartment to the comfort level we would expect including authentic Turkish carpets and other artifacts from our extensive world travels.

Location
Homer is located about 250 miles south of Anchorage Alaska at the bottom of the Kenai Peninsula.   Era Aviation and Grant Aviation  fly from Anchorage directly to Homer several times a day.
